Dr Annabel Broyd is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with over twelve years’ experience providing specialist neuropsychological expertise within NHS and private healthcare settings. She has worked in nationally recognised services, including the Brain Injury Clinic at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and has held senior roles within specialist neurorehabilitation services. Her work has included the clinical leadership and development of specialist services for individuals with Long Covid and for athletes with sport-related concussion and head injury.

She completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her post-doctoral qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology with Distinction. Dr Broyd is listed on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (QiCN), representing the highest level of professional accreditation in clinical neuropsychology in the UK.

She has authored several peer-reviewed research papers across cognition, psychology and mental health, informing her clinical and expert practice.

Her expert witness practice is characterised by a structured, evidence-based approach. Opinions are informed by detailed clinical interview, formal psychometric assessment (including symptom validity testing where indicated), and the careful interpretation and synthesis of complex clinical, psychometric and documentary evidence.

Reports are written with clarity and proportionality, and with a clear understanding of the requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Dr Broyd holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate, reflecting formal training in civil procedure, CPR compliance, expert report writing and courtroom skills, including cross-examination.
